This is education, not advice
The information on this website is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether an operation is appropriate for your nose, your health or your circumstances.
Outcomes vary and none is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. Healing, scarring and the final appearance of a nose vary between individuals, and the result of any operation is judged honestly only after six to twelve months.
Scars are permanent
Every operation leaves a scar. Some are hidden inside the nose; others sit at the alar crease or elsewhere on the face. A scar may fade over a year or more, but it does not disappear, and no surgeon can promise that it will be invisible.
Revision carries added risk
A second operation on the same nose is a harder operation on tissue that has already been disturbed. Revision does not remove the risks of the first operation; it adds to them. This site explains that in the risks guide rather than only in the consent form.
